Vitrified tile which is a type of ceramic tiles has a very low porosity and acts as very good alternative for granites and marble flooring. Being water and frost resistant these vitrified tiles are used outdoors. Vitrified tiles manufactured by hydraulic pressing of various mixtures which display a vitrified surface. The various types of vitrified tiles include polished vitrified tiles, ceramic vitrified tiles, digital vitrified tiles etc.

Polished vitrified tiles are have a polish on it to make the surface smooth, moreover  the dyes and colour patterns used here have to be mixed into the entire tile hence any type of pattern and design can be created here. Polished vitrified tiles have their application in flooring the kitchens and rooms. Ceramic vitrified tiles are known as the plain clay tiles which are very porous in nature and water absorbent. As they are made up by mixing water and clay, they are not very strong as compared to polished vitrified tiles. Digital Vitrified Tiles are tiles in which the technology of digitally printing the tiles is applied. The tiles are printed digitally rather handmade so as to provide timed perfections.

Porcelain Tiles is a type of ceramic tile which is fired at higher temperature hence making it less porous and moisture resistant hence they are even hard to cut and used in outdoor as well as indoor. Porcelain tiles are available in glazed, unglazed and matte finished. The polished porcelain tiles make the tiles more water resistant and therefore have more uses than other porcelain tiles.
